About Every Detail Solar

A commercial solar cleaning company built on measurement

Led by CEO Dan Piepho, Every Detail Solar cleans rooftop, ground-mount, carport, and utility-scale arrays across the United States - and proves the result with data.

Every Detail Solar is a commercial solar panel cleaning company serving rooftop, ground-mount, carport, and utility-scale arrays nationwide, founded and led by CEO Dan Piepho. We exist to close a specific gap: commercial arrays quietly lose output to soiling, and most operators have no reliable way to measure the loss or verify a wash was worth it. We do both.

Who we are

We are a solar-only maintenance operation - not a pressure-washing company that added panels to the menu. Our crews are trained on solar safety, electrical handling, and fall protection. Our equipment is chosen for the array in front of it: deionized pure-water systems for a spot-free finish, robotic cleaners for long utility rows, and soft-brush agitation for cemented soiling, lichen, and bird droppings.

What makes us different

  • We publish our numbers. Wash throughput (~150 panels/hr rooftop and ground-mount, ~225 panels/hr carport/canopy) and a transparent pricing methodology - not a mystery quote.
  • We measure recovery. Every engagement can include pre- and post-wash production data, aggregated into our Soiling & Recovery Report.
  • We source our claims. Every soiling figure on this site traces to that report or a named source like the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). If we can't source it, we don't say it.
  • We tell you when not to hire us. If rain is already doing the job on a low-soiling site, we will say so.

Leadership

Dan Piepho is the founder and CEO of Every Detail Solar. He leads the company's field operations, measurement standards, and equipment program, and sets the honest-broker standard the business runs on: sell the recovery you can prove, not the percentage you can invent.

Where we work

Every Detail Solar serves commercial solar across the United States with regional and travel crews, with active work concentrated in California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Colorado, and New Mexico. Our headquarters is in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
